From Wednesday 20 November to Saturday 23 November, thousands of local causes will be celebrating and saying thank you to Co-op members for raising £17m.
The Co-op Local Community Fund Team have invited SERICC to receive a donation in total of £2160.67
Karen, a spokeswoman for SERICC said “We were delighted to receive a donation of £2,611.33 and would like to thank customers for choosing to donate to SERICC. Funds will be used to continuing developing support available via mobile phones and other devices through an app programme to support victim and survivors of sexual violence and abuse.
In the last year SERICC supported 1,604 victims and survivors ranging from the age of 4 to 84.
South Essex Rape and Incest Crisis Centre (SERICC) has been supporting victims and survivors in Thurrock for over 30 years. Our specialist service supports women, men, young people and children who have experienced any form of sexual violence and abuse at any time of their lives. In these days of technology, we need to make sure that our services are available online. We want our app to support the wellbeing, mental health and offer self-help to sexual abuse victims and survivors.”
